THE IDEA BEHIND:

Inspired by a free plugin
I have been using for years:
Saturation-2 by Yuri Semenov,

A simple yet surprisingly versatile
tool for sound shaping.

Since I often stack ten or more
instances to shape a single sound,

the original plugin's large interface
ended up filling the entire screen
and slowing down my workflow.

So I decided to build my own version:
smaller, lighter,
and packed with more features.

The Destroyer's Pixel Saturator

The Destroyer's Pixel Saturator is a free Windows VST saturation and distortion plugin by THE DESTROYER. It is designed as a small, light and pixel-perfect sound-shaping tool.

Main features

Zero latency, small and light user interface.
Four waveshaping algorithms: odd harmonics, odd wavefolder, even harmonics, even two octaves up.
Odd and even lo-cut / hi-cut filters with 6/12/24 dB slope switch.
Waveshaping attack and release to shape harmonic sustain over time.
Built-in oversampler with internal sidechain.
Dry channel, channel on/off, +38 dB channel boost and phase invert.
Input gain, output gain, pre-clip and output clip.

The idea behind

Inspired by Saturation-2 by Yuri Semenov, a simple yet versatile free plugin used for years. Since many instances were often stacked on a single sound, the goal was to build a smaller, lighter plugin with more features and a faster workflow.
